Q: Is there a time limit in which I must complete the program?
To qualify for your certificate the program must be competed within 6 months from the day you begin.
Q: How much time will it take to complete the program?
The program will require approximately 20 hours of actual training time. However, you may start and stop at any time and you may take up to 6 months to complete the program.
Q: What should I do after receiving my certification?
We suggest that you pursue additional education while forwarding your certificate to your local Caterpillar dealer and other dealers of automotive, trucking and heavy equipment and request an interview.
Q: Will getting my certificate guarantee me a job?
Your certificate will not guarantee you a job. Employers take many factors into consideration before hiring an employee.
Q: Will my certificate ever expire?
No, your certificate will not expire.
Q: Can I retake courses that I fail?
Yes. You can retake a course as many times as you wish. You may also return at a later date and retake a course as a refresher prior to a job interview.
Q: What happens if I lose my internet connection in the middle of a course?
If you lose your internet connectin, or you have an unexpected computer malfunction, your progress within that course will be recorded and you may resume the course again from where you left off.
Q: What should I do if my certificate will not print properly?
If your certificate does not print correctly and you have tried more than one printer, we suggest you go to the "Contact Us" section below and request assistance.
